Ok. I thought this up in the middle of my game. It's loosely based on events from Friday night, but blown WAAAAAY beyond what really happened.

Taryn got in the car with her four good friends, Ashley, Ben, Hailey and Brayden. Hailey was driving, but she wasn't out of her six months yet. The rest made sure she would take it slow, just because they didn't want to have Hailey's license revoked. As they pulled onto the main road out of the neighborhood they'd been in, the two cars in front of them suddenly pulled over. Taryn thought they might be going the same place, but then, as the car moved 20 feet ahead of the last parked car, the cop lights were turned on behind their car. Taryn held her breath as Hailey almost freaked out and quickly pulled out of the way. They cops just drove on by. Everyone let out their breath and tried to laugh it off, but the mood in the car obviously got about ten times more tense. Every single person was now on the lookout for cops, and noticed just how many are out on a Friday night. They, luckily, reached the house of another friend, Megan, without further scare or incident. Then Ashley wanted to drive quickly to the next town and back because no one else had arrived yet. Hailey switched seats with her, and they took off. Ashley drives rather fast. As they turned onto the deserted freeway, Ashley started to speed up. Everyone started getting uncomfortable, and Hailey was trying to correct her driving when Ashley got a little too erratic. This lead to some swerving of the car. Suddenly Brayden looked over at Taryn. She was sitting rigid in her seat, face extremely pale, eyes wide and sparkling with a combination of fear and that glazed look people get when they are stuck in memories. Her jaw was set.

"Taryn, are you OK?" He asked quietly.

She nodded her head, jaw clamping tighter if that was even possible. Brayden and Ben looked at her skeptically, while Hailey and Ashley were oblivious to what was happening in the back seat. Brayden reached a tentative hand out to her.

"Are you sure?"

That got her. Taryn slumped in her seat and started crying silently. No one knew about the accident she'd been in before she'd moved to the city the previous year. By this time the car was heading back to Megan's house, but Ashley was still driving fast. Ben and Brayden exchanged extremely worried looks across Taryn's back, and Brayden pulled her into a tight hug.

"It's too long, I can't tell you until we get back to Megan's," she whispered, every intent on finally telling them about the accident. They all believed that she'd moved here with her mom because they couldn't cope staying in the house where her dad had died, but that wasn't quite the whole truth.

They stayed like this the rest of the ride back. Brayden comforting Taryn, Ben watching worriedly, with Ashley and Hailey still trying to keep the car on a straight path in the front. Once they got to Megan's, Taryn had stopped crying, but was still cringing with every big swerve the car made. Everyone piled up onto Megan's roof, and Taryn finally started telling them the story.

"I guess I have to tell you guys the real reason I moved," she started. Then she launched into the whole story.

*Flashback*
Sam was drunk again. Taryn didn't know why he wouldn't let her drive them home when he got like this, but he was her dad and nothing bad had happened so far. This time however, he was swerving a lot more than usual.

"Shit," Taryn swore under her breath. She had just remembered that he'd had way more than his usual amount.

She looked up and realized there was a curve coming up. She had a very bad feeling about this. Suddenly, there was no more road, and then the car was falling. The hill wasn't too steep, so they bounced onto it and started rolling down, but the hill ended in woods. Tightly spaced trees were directly in front of them. Taryn heard someone scream, then realized it was her just as they hit the closest tree.

She regained consciousness a little later, and focused on herself for a minute. No major injuries were apparent. She'd have a few bruises in a couple days, and probably some whiplash, but nothing life-threatening. The clock on the dash read 9:15. She checked her watch once she realized the time wasn't changing, and saw she'd been out for a little over half an hour. Looking over at her dad, she almost passed out again. The tree had hit him almost directly on, leaving him squished against his seat, neck twisted in an obviously unnatural position. She got out of the car as fast as she could, not wanting to see her dead dad next to her anymore. Pulling her cell phone out of her pocket, she called 911 and told them her approximate location. The medics and police arrived about five minutes later to find Taryn standing next to the road. They took her into one of the ambulances and informed her that she actually had a cracked rib, and would for sure suffer pain from whiplash. They wrapped her ribcage, which didn't actually help all that much, and took her to the hospital just because they had to confirm that her dad was dead and couldn't be saved. It seemed painfully obvious to Taryn, but they informed her that it was standard procedure which couldn't be ignored. She just nodded and let them guide her to the front of the ambulance.

She didn't cry until she saw her mother. Once they arrived back at the house, news that her dad was dead for sure accompanying them, she almost couldn't bring herself to go inside. There were too many memories of him in there. Her mom agreed, so after Taryn had fully healed from her physical injuries, they moved.
*End Flashback*

"So yeah, that's the full story for why I moved here," She stated, finished.
