(no subject)

I just watched August Rush. WOW that was a moving movie. [heehee] From the way my hallmates described it way back when it was still in theaters, I thought it'd be cute: a good way to spend a couple of hours. Oh no. This was one of few times I have been physically moved to tears because of music. After that, of course, the story helped keep the tears flowing. But seriously, when that kid first sits down at the guitar... OH. MY. GOD. He's playing it completely 'wrong', but it was one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard out of a guitar. There may have been a little help with the new stereo system my parents put in that has surround sound and the nice sub woofer, but STILL. Had I been by myself, I may possibly have been sobbing. But, I'm too self conscious and refrained because my family would have given me hell.

I have some stuff to post from the plane ride on Friday too, but it's not quite finished yet. It ended up turning into fanfiction of a sort, even though I didn't mean it to at all. I mean, I'm sure I could change a few details and add an event or two to make it not so, but I kinda like it the way it is. It's what I get for reading essays my favorite musicians write about air travel the night before I board a plane myself. (An airplane is a bus with wings.)

Also, and I'm gonna tack this onto the next update in a more explained way: Jet Blue is the most awesome airline ever. If you can, you should fly it. It tends to be pretty cheap too.
