So, uh, I know that I haven't actually updated this thing in a while, so here goes.
Life has been...both hectic and extremely fun lately. For example, homecoming was last weekend, and that was super fun, even though I'm not really one for rap music. The highlights included Stairway to Heaven, the main song from Night at the Roxbury, and You Shook Me All Night Long. 'Twas fun, as I got to stay out until 2 (thats two hours later than usual by the way...) with my boyfriend and other friends. It's fun to dress up, although the slight stress from trying to organize it even when the guys are supposed to do that gets a bit annoying.
In other news, that whole boyfriend thing. His name is Jeff, he is a total sweetie (even though saying that makes me cringe and realize just how girly I really am), and makes the best pillow I've ever had. :D Thank you Jennie for hosting that 4th of July party, and thank you Sam for being the person who we both knew when I called you to tell you to get your ass over to the party. It's really fun just to hang out with this kid and watch a movie or something, just falling asleep on Alex's couch works too, although Alex's mom got a little weirded out about that. Heh, sorry Carol.
Oh, fuck, my cat just threw up...again. And I get to be the only one home...greaaaaat. *sigh* oh well.
School. Oh man, this is a very interesting place. The International Baccalaureate program...well...totally sucks, even though I know I'm smart enough to be in it. I also happen to be a horrible procrastinator. That's never good when mixed with SUPER HARD programs. Basically, I've now had two breakdowns in as many months, and have already had a night with one hour's worth of sleep. *le sigh*although it was fun at the time... I won't be doing that again in a hurry. On the other hand, school DOES mean seeing EVERYONE everyday, instead of just the same group. I never get sick of them, it's just fun to remember that I have tons of other friends too.
AND! I definetly have one more thing to look forward to that I've known of since basically the beginning of summer. There were three or four back then...ski camp, HBP coming out, my birthday, the Robert Plant concert that my dad bought me tickets to, and the RENT movie. All that's left is RENT, but all the rest were supah fun! Ski camp, oh man, it was actually kinda cool just being Carolyn and me, cuz we don't really talk as much as we used to, even though she is probably the closest of my three best friends. Although since ski camp that's pretty much changed, so that's good. I mean, I love Abby and Lauren to death, but Carolyn I just kinda felt the need to totally reconnect with. I seem to be the person who likes to branch out and befriend everyone, while she seems content to stick with the same ol' group. Also, I tend to hang out with my "newer" friends quite a lot at first, which always leaves me feeling slightly guilty for not spending as much time with her as I probably should. I think we've actually talked about this before, both acknowledge it and don't care too much, but I still feel bad sometimes. HBP...well, it wasn't my favorite of the series. Maybe I've just read too many fanfics, but I dunno. Seems to me that it wasn't well written, and focused too much on the romance aspect, and didn't have as much of a plot as the other five books. *shrug* Whatever. My birthday pretty much rocked. 1) It's the same day as Neil (
trapezzoid) so I gave him a call to say "hi" 2) Zach and Joel randomly stopped over at Alex's house with everyone and we all went to lunch/snack at Third Place Books, and 3) After a nummy dinner and presents, we all went back to Alex's, picked up Sam, and then "paintballed" in the backyard. The Robert Plant concert...one word: orgasmic. Seriously, I almost died every time I came back to reality and realized that I was actually seeing him LIVE! I have three crappy cell phone pictures on my dad's phone, and Abby recorded a bunch of the Zeppelin stuff he played onto her phone. Although this isn't the best quality cuz at random times me, Allie and Allie's friend will start screaming "Oh my god! I can't believe I'm really seeing Robert Plant live!!!" So yeah, that was fun. So now, I have to wait until November 23 for my favorite musical to be made into a movie. Oh well, I can deal.
I hope I didn't bore you too much, I just kinda remembered that I have the ability to post and said "Hey, I haven't done that in a while! People may want to know what the hell is going on with me!" So, here ya go. An update on Michelle's life. Feel free to comment, or not. Whatever, although hijacking on my own journal might be fun all you HA friends...anyway...
Ciao! for now!
